Toyota 3UZ-FE 4.3L Engine Specs, Problems, Reliability. The 3UZ-FE engine was first introduced in 2000 and was a result of the advancement of the 4.0-liter 1UZ-FE engine. For enhancing rigidity, the thickness of the cylinder walls was increased by 1 mm (from 5.5 mm to 6.5 mm).
