2025 Ford Edge Redesign, Hybrid, Specs, and Price. After the recent refresh for the 2025-year model, there is no doubt that the 2025 Ford Edge won’t come with too many novelties. The popular mid-size crossover has been around for years. The current version represents the second generation, which is on the market since 2015. The company wanted to keep the model fresh in this highly competitive segment, so a relatively quick refresh doesn’t seem strange at all. We have seen lots of changes. Of course, the main part was about visual upgrades, but the new model comes with lots of latest tech features, new transmission and much more. The 2025 Edge will keep the same pace and probably won’t feature too many changes. Expect to see it in late 2025.

2025 Ford Edge Engines
Two familiar units will continue without changes for the 2025 Ford Edge. The base engine, reserved for SE, SEL, and Titanium trims, will be a familiar 2.0-liter turbo inline-four EcoBoost unit, which is good for about 250 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque. All-wheel drive is optional. On the other side, 2025 Ford Edge will continue with another familiar engine, 2.7-liter EcoBoost, which recently came with a nice power boost, so a max output now goes around 335 hp and 380 lb-ft of torque.
Another important novelty that came with the recent update is a new 8-speed automatic transmission.
2025 Ford Edge Safety Features
This crossover is always up to date when it comes to safety features. Recently, we have seen an introduction of three new advanced systems– post-collision braking, evasive steering assist and automatic cruise control with stop-and-go line. There are familiar systems from earlier models, like blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, front and rear parking sensors, active park assist, a 180-degree camera system etc. All of them will find the place in the 2025 Ford Edge, while further expansion of this list is possible.
2025 Ford Edge Continues with the Same Styling
The recent update was predominately about visual updates. It was a classic facelift, which included changes on both ends of the vehicle. Of course, the front end suffered more. The new model replaces outdated three-bar grille design with the new, Explorer-inspired design. There is a new pair of headlights, which look sharper now. Naturally, the bumper suffered. It comes with slight reshaping, new air intakes, and new fog lights design. On the other end, you can notice changes on the bumper, tailgate, exhaust and few more areas. Of course, this facelift included new wheels designs.
2025 Ford Edge frontAs you can see, changes on the styling were pretty intense, so it is hard to believe that the 2025 Ford Edge would come with some more important novelties. It should continue in the same way, following all the novelties from the 2025-year model. We could eventually see a few more color options in the offer, but probably nothing more than that.
Interior
The 2025 Ford Edge interior should also continue in the same way. This update didn’t affect the inside of the vehicle too much. There are some new schemes in the offer, but the overall layout remains the same and should remain until complete overhaul. A mid-size crossover, this models isn’t available with three rows of seats. Simply, Ford didn’t want to sacrifice space just to keep the pace with most competitors. This resulted in two very spacious and comfortable rows of seating, as well as in generous cargo area. The overall cabin quality seems pretty high and one of the best things about this crossover is above-average noise isolation.
Trim Levels
When it comes to the organization of equipment groups, things should remain the same as for the 2025-year model. This means that we definitely won’t see 2025 Ford Edge Sport in the offer. The ST is a new designation for the hi-performance trim level.
Let’s start with base models. The offer starts with the SE, which already comes with a decent list of standard equipment. It comes with 18-inch wheels, automatic headlights, rearview camera, voice controls, six-speaker audio system and much more.
Seems like decent enough, but most buyers would rather pay extra money to get the SEL model. This one adds a lot of useful things, including an 8-inch touchscreen, dual-zone climate control, smartphone integration, etc.
The 2025 Ford Edge Titanium will be all about comfort and convenience. Count on bigger wheels, ambient lighting, upgraded front seats, leather upholstery etc
. As we already mentioned, the performance Sport trim is not available anymore, but you can get a new ST trim. Compared to the previous version, it adds more power. There are several exclusive details sport-tuned suspensions, variable-ratio steering, power-adjustable steering wheels, sporty details inside the cabin and much more.
2025 Ford Edge Release Date and Price
Considering that we probably won’t see bigger changes, the 2025 Ford Edge release date should be scheduled for late 2025. Don’t expect changes in price either. The current model goes in a range between 29.000 and 41.000 dollars, roughly.
