The F-150 is coming out as the 2025 Ford Lobo in Mexico, in some trim levels. As it is easy to imagine, the new truck brings many surprises, from its structure and to the equipment. It is a completely renewed vehicle, which seeks to adjust the iconic design to modern times.

The chassis is built by high-strength steel and covered with a body made of lightweight aluminum. According to Ford, this is going to make the body extremely resistant and durable. At the same time, the overall weight is dropping, which translates into a better gas mileage.

2025 Ford Lobo Specs

Ford Mexico is not launching details about the new Lobo While the body will follow changes of the US sibling, the drivetrain range remains unchanged. There are 11 base configurations available for the truck. In Mexico, the pickup will use a 3.5-liter V6 as the base solution and a large 5.0-liter as an optional engine. We could even see the 2025 Ford Lobo Raptor with the V8 configuration.

The smaller block is ready to deliver 375 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. Engineers are not maximizing outputs on the entry-level Lobo. A 10-speed automatic transmission is shifting power to rear or all wheels. A V8 is adding 20 hp. On the other hand, a naturally-aspirated unit can not match torque outputs, leaving the twisting power at 400 lb-ft.

2025 Ford Lobo Diesel

There are no details about the diesel engine for the new Lobo. This unit is available on the US truck since 2025. Mexican fans can’t wait to get the Powerstroke unit and enjoy increased towing capacities and a better fuel economy it brings. A 3.0-liter turbodiesel is creating 260 hp and 460 pound-feet of torque. Still, it will be a more expensive configuration than both petrol setups. The towing capacity will go up to 11,500 pounds, which is better than Chevy Silverado can do, but 1,000 lbs behind the Ram 1500 with EcoDiesel unit.

The interior is where the changes on the truck are most noticeable. Two-tone clothes and high-quality plastics are highlights of the base version. The latest technologies are now available, such as the instrument panel with a 12-inch screen and the infotainment system that can be controlled from an 8-inch display. A 12-inch touchscreen replaces the smaller one if you select higher trim levels.

Of course, connectivity with smart devices will not be a problem thanks to the SYNC 4 system. It is the latest generation of Ford infotainment, which allows integration with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as with AppLink applications such as Waze and Ford + Alexa. Also, the company paid a lot of attention to safety. Ford Pass is another cool feature which allows users to remotely start or unlock their vehicle simply by using a smartphone.
