Unlike the 2.5-liter variation L5-VE, the 2.0 L engine does not have balancer shafts. The LF has an iron crankshaft with 4 counterweights and a torsional damper. In 2009, the iron crankshaft was replaced with a created steel crankshaft. There are forged linking rods with fraction-split ends, aluminum alloy pistons with graphite-coated skirts for friction decrease. The pistons are put with the offset by 0.8 mm.
